Science Daily and the Society of Toxicology report that hookah smoking dangers is on the rise despite known adverse health effects.
Hookah smokers inhale more smoke, carcinogen, tar, and nicotine than cigarette smokers. Additionally, hookah smokers are at greater risk for inhaling secondhand smoke and the vapors produced by the burning charcoal in the water pipe. Hookahs are not subject to the same restrictions as cigarettes, including labeling and access by minors.
