SUMMARY:Project Towards No Drug Abuse (PTND) Curriculum Training
DESCRIPTION:Description\n\nThis training is intended for Youth Prevention (YP) program providers who are approved by Texas Health and Human Services Commission to implement Project Towards No Drug Abuse curricula.\nThe goal of the Project TND training is to prepare participants to effectively implement the Project TND program. We strongly recommend that every teacher who implements TND Project towards no drug abuse Project TND participate in a training workshop, conducted by a certified Project TND trainer, prior to beginning delivery of the program. The objectives of the Project TND training workshop are to provide teachers with an understanding of the theoretical basis, content, instructional techniques, and objectives of the program. In addition, the training is designed to build the skills that teachers need to deliver the lessons with fidelity.\nContinuing Education Hours: 6.5.*\nSatisfactory completion of continuing education hours (CEHs) requires attending at least 85% of the training duration, participating in activities (e.g., polls, breakout rooms), and completing the training evaluation.\nRequirements\nThis PTND training is virtual, occurring live over Zoom. All participants are required to join on camera and expected to fully engage in the training.\nRegistration\nRegistration priority will be given to YP program staff members who have never completed an official Project Towards No Drug Abuse Curriculum Training previously. Approved registrants will receive an email confirmation with the Zoom link to attend the virtual training. All other individuals who submit a registration will be added to a waitlist and will receive an email notification if a spot becomes available for them to attend the training.\nRegister now\nRegistration deadline: January 4, 2022\n\n
